"The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge." — Stephen Hawking
We live in a world where everyone seems convinced they know what’s right. But here’s the truth: most of what we think we know, we don’t. The boxes we’ve been stuffed into—whether it’s political, religious, or social—aren’t serving us. It’s time to break free from the limitations of us-versus-them thinking and start embracing a broader perspective.
I’ve never been one to fit into neat categories or play by society’s rules. Let’s start with the basics: I like guns. I like money. I like sex. And no, these things don’t define me, but I won’t apologize for them either. It’s funny how these topics make people uncomfortable. Why should they? Money, sex, power—these are just tools. It’s how you use them that defines their impact on your life.
I don’t tie myself to political labels. I’m neither Republican nor Democrat. I have friends who are gay, friends from all ethnic backgrounds, and friends who practice all sorts of religions. But here’s the key: it doesn’t matter. We don’t have to live the same way, believe the same things, or agree on everything to coexist with love and respect.
The us-versus-them mindset is tearing society apart. It’s not working. When you make someone else’s beliefs or lifestyle your enemy, you miss the bigger picture. Live and let live. If you can’t do that, if you can’t “do unto others as you’d like done to you,” then go play in another sandbox.
The so-called “American dream” is just the tip of the iceberg. Let’s be honest: the cars, the house, the fat bank account—all of that is nice, but if that’s all you’re chasing, you’re missing the bigger picture. The real prize is who you become along the way. It’s about refining yourself spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. That’s the journey that matters.
Celebrity culture, trends, and what’s popular? I couldn’t care less. It’s surface-level noise, distracting us from the deeper work that leads to actual fulfillment.
Let’s dive into some of the big issues. Religion? I’m neither for nor against it. But let’s be honest: a lot of people claiming to be Christian aren’t very Christ-like. Memorizing scripture doesn’t mean you’re living with love or integrity. That’s where a lot of religious folks have missed the point.
As for the feminist movement, while it’s brought about some important changes, it’s also gone off course in some ways. True equality doesn’t mean demonizing masculinity. Masculinity isn’t toxic—but, yes, some people do play out toxic traits. It’s important to separate the two.
And the whole “alpha male” concept? Completely skewed. Being alpha isn’t about domination or aggression. True strength comes from humility, balance, and respect.
Here’s something that’ll make some of you uncomfortable: I believe that sex, money, and God are all connected. There’s an undeniable energy that ties them together. When you’re disconnected from one, you’re likely disconnected from the others. Balance and integration are key. It’s not about choosing one over the other.
And let me make this clear: I don’t hate wealthy people. In fact, I think good people should have more money. Money is a tool. How you use it determines its value.
We’re living in an age of extremes—especially when it comes to what’s considered offensive or politically incorrect. And I’ll be real: I don’t agree with where society is headed. This obsession with cancel culture and walking on eggshells is suffocating. There’s a balance between speaking your truth and being respectful, and we’ve swung way too far into the extreme of stifling authentic conversation.
As for the pronoun debate, I’m still figuring that out. But here’s the thing: I don’t have to agree with everything to respect your right to live how you choose.
Vegans, republicans, democrats, religious people, polyamorous, monogamists—whatever group you identify with—you’re likely wrong about something. We all are. Most of what we think we know, we don’t. And that’s the point: we’re more incorrect than correct in our thinking.
Let’s drop the us-versus-them mentality. Others don’t need to live the way you do to deserve respect. If you can’t grasp that, go play in another sandbox.
Most of what we think we know, we don’t. The us-versus-them mindset isn’t serving anyone. The sooner we realize that, the sooner we can start working toward a world where we simply live and let live.
So, if I haven’t pissed you off yet, let’s keep playing. I’m just getting started.

"I feel an openness, a willingness to receive , and a call to soften. I felt the love in my chest expanding outwards into ever fiber, every cell. I feel a rawness as this is a place that I don't feel I've fully felt or been able or free to express. I feel a sense of excitement, joy, ecstasy, and bliss. I feel love opening and it's juiciness." -Shawnalee

Guest on "The Shift Call"
“Through working with Christopher John Stubbs on the call this past week. The guilt. The absolute control. The financial control. The revenge. The imprints of never being allowed to be my true self. That began unraveling this week and my former partner felt the shift in me.
The trauma tried to reassert itself through the aggression and blaming and "you owe me" rant and "you're not good enough" and "it's all your fault." Wounded Abuser Energy.
Christopher is able to penetrate my darkest hallways and illuminate and illustrate how to clean it up and be free in the light.
Deeply thankful to Christopher for offering last week’s call.” -Gayla D’Gaia
